Leica Q3 43 - Is a camera really worth this much ?

Short answer is no.

£1,000 will buy you a camera with capabilities far in excess of anything that Henri-Cartier Bresson or Elliott Erwitt ever touched. And they probably took better pictures that we ever will

£2,000 will buy you a camera with much better autofocus

But £6,000 does buy something rare. A beautiful physical object with a very, very beautiful lenses.

It’s also honed for one purpose - taking pictures while putting the minimum of menus in the way.

Then there is the look.

People argue in forums for hours about the Leica look.

But it does exist and I’ll do a post on this soon.

It’s a look that spoils you and makes you reach for your wallet.

The lenses are ludicrously priced.

But it’s like a drug.

So once you’ve tried the Q3 43 and its amazing lens, there usually is no going back.
